Job Description:

- Drive excellence in the Scientific Services program through maintaining analytical instrumentation, lab automation tools, and reactor equipment to support chemists

Laboratory Manager / Chemistry Lab / Pharma Industry Job Requirements
- Commitment to lab safety and compliance through background in chemistry, biochemistry, or engineering
- Prior Lab experience (2 years as undergraduate researcher or post graduation)
Education:
- BS degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or science
Ideal:
- Prior Lab experience, chemistry background is helpful, strong communication skills and collaboration with other FTE's, EW's. Strong independent organizational skills
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Synthetic Laboratory Management
- Drive organization and productivity of facility through adherence to 5S principles
- Initiate work orders for equipment repairs, maintenance, installation, and removal
- Participate in regularly scheduled lab cleanout activities and safety walkthroughs
Equipment & Instrument Owner:
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, calibration, daily system initializations, and repair service of equipment and instruments
- Maintain process & analytical instrumentation, lab automation tools, reactor equipment and stocking of parts/accessories
- Support laboratory/equipment software installations and upgrades/updates
- Maintain online tracking tool to manage instrument usage and operational status
- Inventory Maintenance and Chemical Ordering & Shipping
- Order and organize laboratory reagents and consumables to support laboratory experimentation
- Generate purchase orders, chemical shipping documents, equipment orders
- Handle incoming/outgoing shipments of tools, ancillary processing equipment, and consumables and chemicals
Red Flags:
- No prior lab experience
- No degree or background in chemistry, biochemistry, or engineering
